Former Secretary to the Oyo state government, Chief Ayodele Adigun, has said  most political parties in Nigeria, are bulit on a foundation of dictatorship, intolerance and lacks internal democracy.
Adigun spoke on ‘HARD TALK’ a Space fm current affairs programme, while reacting to the gale of defections and political development in Nigeria in recent times.
Adigun lamented that the loyalty of some party members are with godfathers rather than parties.
Adigun noted that to enhance parties’ internal democracy in the country, positive action strategies should  be adopted in their legislation.
In his submission, a frontline Politician and a Professor of Animal physiology, Soji Adejumo, identified  greed and poverty as the bedrock of weak political parties in the country.
Speaking on inflammatory speeches between the All Progressive Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party, Professor Adejumo believes there is a ray of hope ahead of the 2019 general election, despite all odds.
