The Honorable Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Barrister Mutiu Agboke has called for more women participation and active engagement in the electoral activities of the Commission.

Agbooke stated this toat a day workshop on ” Anti – corruption and Accountability From A Gender Perspective and As A Tool for Inclusive Democratic Process”, held in Ibadan.

Barrister Agbooke noted reiterated the Commission’s core values and guiding principles to strengthening gender equality between women and men in the electoral process.

He however urged political parties to allow for a reasonable number of women’s participation in politics and public offices, inclusive of Persons With Disability(PWD).
