Former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala has ruled out
the possibility of returning to the Peoples Democratic Party,
re-affirming his membership of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
In a press statement circulated by Jeremiah Akande the New Media and
Public Affairs Director of Akala campaign Organisation, Chief Akala
while playing host to Eng Seyi Makinde at his residence in Ibadan,
declined an offer by Makinde to rejoin and lead the Peoples Democratic
Party in Oyo State.
According to the press statement Chief Akala stated clearly that he
has no reason whatsoever to leave the APC as he enjoys a peaceful and
harmonious working relationship with the leadership of the party right
from the ward up to the national level.
Further investigation from Space Fm Ibadan reveals that the Seyi
Makinde Campaign organization are neither confirming nor denying the
content of the statement released by the Akala campaign organization
It will be recalled that Space FM Ibadan broke the news of an imminent
departure of Senator Rashidi Ladoja to the African Democratic Congress
hence leaving a leadership void in the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo
